It seems to me that that Winged Messenger is a great component with one weakness. It doesn't offer an option of generating a copy of the email to Site Admin. All comments are welcome.

because Winged Messenger allows to send personal messages to people, the messages are not saved in the database because of privacy. I can't see why the admin should read the personal messages. All other data is saved and the admin can have a look at it in the backend.

I appreciate your concern with privacy with personal messages but you are not taking into account the marketing aspect. An admin who is working to generate referrals needs to be able to see new referrals as they are going out so he can do follow ups. The way it is set up now, the admin needs to continually check the back end of the site in order to see what invites have gone out and he still doesn't know the name of the person so he can't address them personally. These are impediments to effective marketing.

If you want to protect privacy of personal messages, why not simply have the system generate an email to a designated super admin only with the name and email of the invited person? From a programming standpoint, I can't imagine that this would be difficult but it would make Winged Messenger 100 times more powerful and useful.

To emphasize this point, the primary reason webmasters and business owners use your product, is to market their website. Perhaps in Germany, there is greater concern with privacy but in the US, marketing is also important. You can also set this as a preference in the configuration, i.e. whether to send an email to a Super Admin AND you can include only the first name of the invitee if needed. This is sufficient for sending them a follow up note that is personal.

My clients in my learning community work closely with me in growing our community so naturally they want me to have their friend's information and trust me to treat it with respect and care.

ok, there will be no problem to send an information e-mail to the admin with the data which is saved in the database like sender-email, sender-name, recipient-email.

I still have a problem with the recipient name as I have written to you in the e-mail. At the moment the name is not asked for in the recommend form and if an invitee wants to register to the site he can use another name than in the recommend. I think that this is very important because not everyone wants to use his real name, there is the possibility of typos or the sender only enters the surname in the form and so on.

If the invitee registers to the site, you receive the name which is relevant for you because it's the name you will find the user in your joomla-installation.

If the concern is only to receive a name to include this into the recommend text, that will be no problem. I can add optional a name field to the form.

Please tell me, at which points the admin should receive an information e-mail and which information should be included?

Recommend sent, site visited by invitee, invitee registers to the site?
Each e-mail could include the complete record like you can see in the backend.

Please note, that in the moment it is possible to register with another e-mail-address than the recommend was sended to. This behaviour was my intention because not everyone wants to register with the e-mail-address which is provided with the recommend. Per example I have different addresses for forums, privat, ... and not everyone of my friends are knowing each address.

I appreciate your willingness to add this important email to Admin feature. If you look at the Recommend Friends component page now installed on my site at http://breakthroughcoaching.cc/share-our-community , you will see the optional fields for adding a friend's name.

Having something like this with Winged Messenger would be ideal (using your +/- format of course). If I was able to receive an email saying something like [REFERRER PERSON] has just sent an invite email to [RECIPIENT EMAIL], I would be alerted that an invite was sent out. It would be best to receive this email right after the invite is sent out.

I could then periodically go to the Admin back end to see status and send a follow up note maybe a few days after the original invite. By adding this feature, Winged messenger effectively becomes a more powerful sales tool.

I do not think any further changes are needed because the Admin backend will show the prospect's status. Thanks again for being willing to add this feature. I am going to install your current version today and upgrade when the new feature is added.

I have included the feature to send optional a notification to moderators (Manager and above with activated option "Receive System E-mails" in the user manager) if a new recommendation is sent.

E-Mail looks like:
A new recommendation was sent from the site [LIVE_SITE].

[REFERRER PERSON] ([EMAIL_ADDRESS) has sent an invite-email to [RECIPIENT EMAIL].

I have thought about the optional field for adding friend's name and decided not to include this at the moment. Like the forms are designed at the moment, we will have two rows underneath for each recipient. That will be too confusing.
I hope that you sympathize with this reason.

I have made an alpha-Package with the new feature and will send it you by email for testing.
